Icthior, Doggie's old rival from his days at the S.P.D. Academy on Sirius, unexpectedly returns and begins attacking the Rangers, severely injuring them and stealing their badges.

• The episode opens on a shot of downtown Newtech City before we see an overhead shot of Sky, diligently patrolling on his motorcycle. He skids to a stop, takes off his helmet and puts it down before grabbing his communicator.

Sky: Sky Tate reporting in. All quiet in sector twelve. I'm heading back to base.

• All of a sudden, Sky is struck by laser fire and is knocked off his bike, rolling across the ground. He gets up and glares at his attacker- a monster whom we'll eventually learn is named Icthior. He carries a sword.

Icthior: Hello, Ranger. Ready for some fun?

Sky: And I thought this was gonna be an easy day.

Icthior: Let's see what Cruger's taught you.

• Sky is surprised. Icthior strikes a pose much like Doggie does when powering his Shadow Saber; however, his has a bird's head on the hilt. Water is seen flowing behind him.

Icthior: Ocean Saber, power up!

• He charges at Sky, who quickly makes a force field in front of himself- however, shockingly, the Ocean Saber is able to shatter it with little effort. Sky falls back and makes a valiant effort to fight off his attacker without a weapon. Icthior then trips him up, grabs him, pulls his wrist and spins him around, sending him slamming to the ground. Sky painfully gets up.

Icthior: You can do better than that.

Sky: (taking out his morpher) You're right. S.P.D., Emergency!

• Sky's full morphing sequence is shown before he leaps back at Icthior, wielding his baton. The two weapons clash. However, Icthior delivers a powerful blow to Sky's chest, making him fall back. He grabs Sky by the arm and pulls him up, and Sky quickly attempts to fight back, but all of his blows are dodged. Icthior then slashes him several times in the chest again, and Sky is thrown back several feet, demorphing and groaning with pain.

Icthior: (cackling) I'll take that…

• He uses his sword point to peel the shield-shaped badge from Sky's jacket, flipping it up into his hand.

Icthior: This is just the beginning.

• An S.P.D. badge transitions us to the Delta Base, inside the infirmary. Doggie and Kat are worriedly watching Sky, who is lying unconscious in one of the beds, dressed in his pyjamas, and wearing a neck brace.

Cruger: Any idea who might've done this?

Kat: Not yet. Surveillance is running a trace.

• Doggie stares blankly at Sky's jacket, which is hanging on the wall, the missing badge very evident.

Cruger: His S.P.D. badge, it's gone.

Kat: Why would someone take Sky's badge?

Cruger: (looking pained) At the Academy, your badge is a symbol of honor. This is a message to all of S.P.D.- no one is safe.

• Meanwhile, downtown, Bridge and Syd are walking around unmorphed.

Syd: This is a little freaky. Cruger orders us back to the base, but he won't tell us why?

Bridge: Hmm.

Icthior: Two Rangers at once! How convenient!

• Bridge and Syd turn to face him, surprised.

Icthior: Prepare to be defeated.

Bridge & Syd: (take out morphers) Ready! S.P.D., Emergency! (they morph) S.W.A.T. Mode!

• Icthior charges at them.

Bridge & Syd: Lasers!

• However, Icthior blocks all of their shots as he charges at them, then leaps at them. Bridge and Syd try and fight him off, but like with Sky, he delivers powerful blows right to the chest with his Ocean Saber. The two yell as they fall over and demorph, both in obvious pain. Icthior cackles as he walks up to them.

Icthior: You won't be needing these. (he steals their badges in the same manner he did Sky's) Yes. Broodwing will be pleased.

• He cackles and walks off. There's been an observer this time- Piggy! He emerges from a pile of trash, with shredded paper on his head.

Piggy: Interesting. Hmm.

• At an unknown location, Broodwing is holding the badges and examining them as he talks to Icthior.

Icthior: I told you we would work well together.

Broodwing: Three Rangers down! That's a good start! They've ruined so many of my plans- I want all of the Rangers!

• Scene change to the Terror. Piggy is reporting what he saw to Gruumm.

Gruumm: Broodwing… is… WHAT?

Piggy: Using Cruger's old rival to destroy the Rangers. … But you didn't hear it from me. (Gruumm grunts in response) He's planning without you again. … Well, aren't you furious, enraged? Don't you want to do something about Broodwing?

Gruumm: No.

Piggy: … No?

Gruumm: (sitting on his chair) Let Broodwing's pathetic plan occupy the Rangers. Meanwhile, I'll use this time for something more… useful.

• Back at S.P.D., Syd and Bridge are now lying in the infirmary alongside Sky, all dressed in pyjamas. Syd is snuggling Peanuts, and Bridge has on some kind of strange brace that keeps his arms spread apart (maybe to stop his gloves accidentally coming off?) A heart monitor beeps. Doggie is watching his kids, concerned.

Cruger: (softly) Who did this?

• He looks over at two monitors, presumably showing vitals, and the three badge-less jackets now hanging on the wall.

Kat: Commander… surveillance has ID'd the attacker. I've brought up his file.

• In Delta Command, Doggie and Kat watch a rotating holographic image of Icthior on the center console.

Cruger: Icthior!

Kat: You know him?

Cruger: Yes, we went to the S.P.D. Academy together.

• A flashback shows Doggie and Icthior sparring with their swords on a beach, presumably on the planet Sirius. Another Sirian, a female, is watching them. Doggie and Icthior are both dressed in simple leather outfits.

Icthior: Come on!

Sirian: Oh… be careful!

Cruger: (narrating) He was a great fighter, but he didn't always fight clean.

• Icthior blocks a downward stroke from Doggie, then kicks him in the chest, sending him stumbling back.

Cruger: That's not a regulation move, Icky.

Icthior: Whatever it takes, Anubis. No one ever got to the top playing fair.

• Icthior raises his sword and charges. The two clash, then lock blades.

Icthior: I'm the best fighter, so it makes sense that I should have the best girl. Isinia's gonna be mine!

Cruger: She might have something to say about that.

• He pushes Icthior's blade away, and he falls back into the sand, furious. He then gets up and sweep-kicks sand into Doggie's face.

Isinia: Icthior, stop it!

• Icthior ignores her and takes a flying leap at Doggie, kicking him in the chest again. Doggie stumbles back, then grabs Icthior's arm and blade, holding them in place and pressing the Shadow Saber against his body.

Cruger: Stop, Icthior! What are you doing? We're just sparring!

Icthior: Not any more. You're too good- I don't need the competition!

• He breaks free and delivers a powerful slash to Doggie, sending him to the ground. Isinia gets up and runs toward them.

Isinia: No! Doggie! (kneels beside him) Are you okay?

• Icthior looks furious. Cut back to Doggie and Kat in the present.

Cruger: Icthior was expelled from the Academy. Now he's trying to get to me through my Rangers. Well, he's not going to do it!

• Doggie turns to walk away, and we fade to commercial.

• Fade back in on somewhere in downtown Newtech City. Sam is patrolling on his Uniforce Cycle.

Sam: It's all clear on the west side, chief!

Cruger: (back at the base) Alright, but keep alert. I still don't like the idea of you going out as bait.

Sam: This guy's never dealt with a Ranger from the future. If he's looking for trouble, I can handle him! Omega out.

• He revs his handlebars and speeds up. As he goes underneath a bridge or overpass, Icthior suddenly jumps out at him.

Sam: Whoa!

• Icthior knocks Sam backwards off his cycle, then lands on his feet. Icthior cackles as Sam picks himself up.

Sam: Come on!

Icthior: With pleasure!

• The two charge at each other, and Sam is able to land a few punches before backing up and raising the throttle on his morpher.

Sam: No more games! Electro mode!

Icthior: That's new.

• Sam slams his hand into the ground, sending a massive and powerful bolt of lighting at Icthior, who yells with pain and is thrown back, picking himself up.

Sam: Yes!

Icthior: Hmmm. You might even be a challenge.

• Sam growls, revs his morpher again, then runs at Icthior, his left fist glowing briefly.

Icthior: Or not!

• He blocks Sam's fist with his sword, then as he did to Sky, Bridge and Syd, slashes him in the chest several times. Sam falls back, clutching where he was hit. Icthior raises his sword and is surrounded by red lightning.

Icthior: Ocean Saber!

• He takes a fighting pose, and rain falls all around him, before he charges at Sam, gliding forward in a torrent of water and delivering a devastating blow to his chest. Sam yells and falls to the ground, groaning. Icthior approaches him.

Icthior: I win again.

Sam: What do you want?

Icthior: Just a little memento. (he uses his sword blade to steal Sam's rectangular gold badge) Thanks!

Sam: You can't!

Icthior: This one's a real collectors' edition.

• Shadow's music heralds the arrival of Doggie, morphed, astride his Delta ATV. He skids to a stop and jumps off.

Cruger: Sam! (he kneels beside him) Sam, are you okay?

Sam: (still in pain) Guess I showed him!

Cruger: Icthior!

Icthior: Hello, Anubis.

Cruger: Still fighting dirty, I see.

Icthior: Ha! And I see you're still part of that galactic joke, Space Patrol Delta.

Cruger: If you've got a problem with what happened in the past, then you take it up with me!

Icthior: I intend to!

• He charges at Doggie, who immediately draws his Shadow Saber and parries the blow. The two begin to engage in an intense swordfight. They lock blades and glare at each other.

Icthior: You got me expelled from the Academy!

Cruger: You were never worthy of going there. Space Patrol Delta is a place of honor! Shadow Saber!

Icthior: I still remember some moves. Ocean Saber!

• Like when he attacked Sam, he's surrounded by red lightning, then poses, the lightning changing to rain. Doggie also poses, becoming surrounded by blue flames. The two opponents slash at each other, a brief split screen showing fire vs. water. Doggie is apparently victorious- Icthior sparks and falls to his knees, groaning. Doggie stands straight and turns to face him.

Cruger: Icthior. You're a disgrace to that sword. Now prepare to be judged!

Icthior: No… wait… Doggie!

Cruger: Guilty.

Icthior: You can't! Remember the promise you made to Isinia?

Cruger: Yes… I do.

• Flash back to the past again, in the aftermath of Doggie and Icthior's fateful sparring match.

Isinia: Doggie… promise me you'll never strike out in anger. If you do, you'll be just like him! (Icthior cackles) Promise me.

Cruger: I promise.

• And back to the present.

Cruger: I remember.

• Icthior sprays a stream of lightning-charged water from his mouth, surprising Doggie, then picks up his saber, landing two blows before the third is blocked.

Icthior: You sentimental fool!

• The two clash again several times, sparks flying from their blades. Icthior then lands several blows to his chest, and Doggie falls on his back, demorphing. Icthior laughs and approaches him.

Cruger: You will pay, Icthior!

Icthior: The most valuable one of all. I'll take it. (he flips Doggie's commander's badge into his hand with his sword blade) Here! (tosses it)

Broodwing: (catches it) Why, thank you.

Cruger: Broodwing! You're behind this?

Broodwing: Of course I am! Gruumm's not the only one with plans of galactic domination! Soon you will all bow down to me!

Cruger: You fiend!

Broodwing: Exactly. And with S.P.D. out of my way, Earth will be mine alone!

• He flies away. Doggie, still prone on the ground, snarls at him.

Icthior: You're through! My work here is done.

Cruger: No…

Icthior: Goodbye, Doggie.

• Icthior cackles and walks away. Scene change to the Terror. Morgana seems to be sneaking around where she's not allowed- she glances side to side nervously, then walks toward a door, touching it.

Gruumm: Morgana!

• Startled, she turns around and smiles nervously.

Gruumm: What are you doing here?

Morgana: I was, uhm, I was just making sure that there was no one in there, because you know how you always tell me how it's absolutely forbidden for anyone to ever go… behind that door.

Gruumm: Yes. That is what I always told you. Would you like to know what's in there?

Morgana: … … Yes.

Gruumm: (eyes flash) None of your business! (he grabs her by her shirt) I have an assignment for you on Earth.

Morgana: Oh, I hate going down there, it's so… happy!

Gruumm: QUIET. This is a very important task. If you succeed… I will give you… whatever you desire.

Morgana: Of course I'll do it… I'll do it.

• Gruumm laughs softly. Back at the Delta Base, Doggie is now in his pyjamas and lying in a fourth bed alongside Bridge, Syd and Sky. Kat stands beside Doggie's bed, Z is sitting on Syd's bed, and Jack stands between Syd and Sky, his arms crossed and his head bowed. A cat-like alien doctor, Dr. Felix, stands between Bridge and Doggie, holding a clipboard.

Dr. Felix: They have all sustained serious injuries. I'm ordering mandatory bedrest until further notice.

• A closeup shows that Syd and Z are holding hands. Jack looks furious.

Bridge: I'm okay! (he attempts to sit up, and a cracking noise is heard)

Dr. Felix: No, you don't. (pushes on his chest)

Bridge: OW! (lays back down) Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Not so much.

Kat: We'll make sure they stay put.

Dr. Felix: Okay. (he nods and walks off)

Jack: Kat, watch out for these guys. Come on, Z, we're going after that creep.

Cruger: No. That's what he's waiting for. You two are to remain here until I say so. Understood?

Z: But, sir, we can't just let them-

Cruger: Don't think just because I'm laid up in bed, I won't kick your butts! (he coughs) Now that's an order.

Jack: (surly) Yes, sir.

• A shot of the hallway outside shows Jack striding away, with Z running to catch up.

Z: Jack, where are you going?!

Jack: Take a wild guess.

Z: But Cruger said no!

Jack: Yeah, I heard him.

Z: You saw what happened to the others.

Jack: Yes, I did.

Z: … Wait for me.

• Cut to a building downtown with a sign reading “Newtech City Laboratories”. A Krybot is holding open a large orange case, and Morgana is examining some orange goop inside a jar.

Morgana: Yup, this is it- Hemotech Synthetic Plasma.

• More Krybots carry more of the big orange cases out.

Morgana: Huh, I wonder what Gruumm wants with this gunk. Oh well, I don't care, just so long as I get my reward! Now, hurry up, you metallic monkeys!

• Cut to an unknown location. Jack and Z are both running, then stop- they appear to be in the mountains or a rock quarry. They stop and look around.

Jack: Okay, Icthior! We're here!

Z: We know you're looking for us.

Icthior: (steps out) Yes… I am. And I invited a friend.

• A swarm of bats swoops down, forming into Broodwing next to him. Jack and Z tense up.

Broodwing: Hello, Rangers. Welcome to our little party.

Jack: We're not here for fun.

Z: We're here to bring you in.

Broodwing: Oh… but… not all the guests have arrived yet.

• He snaps his fingers, and four cackling Orangeheads land in front of him. They all then toss several Bluehead and normal Krybot generators. A long shot of Jack and Z facing the Krybot army is shown.

Z: Oh, boy.

• And fade to commercial.

• Fade back in on Jack and Z, standing alone against a whole slew of Krybots.

Z: Never a dull moment with you, Jack.

Jack: No doubt. Now, let's party.

Broodwing: ATTACK!

• The Krybots all charge, so Jack and Z bravely take them on, for some reason not morphing. Jack actually holds his own pretty well, and Z makes two clones to help. Jack uses a lot of kicks to take on his, while the Zs use cartwheels and kicks. The real Z is then knocked over by a blast from an Orangehead, and her clones disappear as she is seized.

Icthior: Surround them!

Jack: Let her go!

• He frees Z from the Krybots' grip and stands protectively in front of her, and the two glare at the advancing 'bots.

Orangehead: It's over, Rangers.

Cruger: (over communicator) Landors… Delgado… report in!

• A shot shows Doggie, still in bed, talking to them through his morpher.

Cruger: I should've known.

• He groans and tries to get up out of bed.

Cruger: Let's go…

Dr. Felix: Absolutely not. None of you are in any condition to fight.

Cruger: But…

Dr. Felix: You may be the base Commander, but I'm the Commander in here. So while you're in the infirmary, I give the orders. Understood?

Cruger: … Yes, sir.

• Kat pouts a little and looks down, then smiles slightly. Doggie lies down on his bed and waits til Dr. Felix leaves before immediately getting up again. Bridge, Syd and Sky also get up, removing all of their braces and so on.

Cruger: Let's go, cadets!

Bridge: Yes, sir!

Syd: Yes.

Kat: No, no! No, stop, where are you going?

Cruger: To work.

Kat: But Dr. Felix said to…

Cruger: I heard him.

• The three follow him out of the infirmary, coughing and rubbing their sore limbs. Kat throws her hands up.

Kat: Fine! I'll prep the Zords.

• She sighs in frustration, throws down her clipboard, and watches them go, hands on her hips. Back at the quarry, Jack and Z are starting to lose against the Krybots.

Broodwing: Get them now!

Jack: (grabs morpher) Ready!

Z: Ready!

Jack & Z: S.P.D., Emergency!

• The two of them morph and charge at the Krybots. Jack fires his Delta Blasters at them, while Z uses her baton. Jack is struck in the chest by an Orangehead, before he takes it on one-on-one. He blocks a sword stroke with his blasters, then fires, and the Orangehead goes down. Z fights her way through to Jack, and they stand back-to-back.

Z: We're in trouble, bro.

Jack: (tensely) You think?

• The Krybots charge- but all of a sudden, Sky, Bridge and Syd, all morphed, leap into the action and fire their Deltamax Strikers, then land in front of Jack and Z.

Jack: Hey!

Sky: You guys okay?

Jack: What're you doing here?

Z: Yeah. You're supposed to be in bed.

Syd: And miss all of this?

Sky: There's no way we'd do that.

• Several more Krybots go flying through the air, then Sam flips in, landing next to Jack.

Sam: Very tricky, Jack.

Bridge: Stubborn is more like it.

Cruger: (puts his hand on Jack's shoulder) Stubborn, yes, but brave.

Z: Yup.

Broodwing: Cruger!

Cruger: Ready, Rangers!

Icthior: Doggie!

Jack: You know it. S.P.D. S.W.A.T. Mode!

• The 5 Rangers' S.W.A.T. armor appears over their bodies, and they pose in front of a background reading “S.W.A.T.: Special Weapons And Tactics”, the lights on their helmets and the numbers on their chests flashing.

Sam: Force from the future! Omega Ranger!

Cruger: S.P.D. Shadow Ranger! (stands before the others) You'll never dishonor S.P.D. We will always stand united and proud.

• Shots of the other 6 Rangers' faces. Broodwing fires lightning at them, and they charge forward, weapons at the ready. The S.W.A.T. Rangers scrap a bunch of Krybots with little effort, and pose as they explode. Sam revs his morpher.

Sam: S.P.D. Electro Mode!

• He sends a bolt of lightning through the ground at another group of Krybots, short-circuiting them. Doggie fights off the Orangeheads with his Shadow Saber, destroying them, before Icthior leaps at him. He stands, posed and ready to fight.

Icthior: You're mine, Cruger!

Cruger: If that's the way it has to be.

Icthior: Come on!

Cruger: Shadow Saber! (poses with it) Power up!

Icthior: One last time, Doggie. Ocean Saber, power up!

Cruger: Make your move.

• Icthior and Doggie charge at each other. Meanwhile, Broodwing blocks a punch from Sam.

Sam: Give it up, Broodwing!

• Broodwing knocks Sam backward with a punch, making him roll away. The others group around him, Jack even jumping over the fallen Omega. Broodwing shoots a strange whirlwind of energy at them, striking the Rangers and making them fall over. Icthior and Doggie's sword duel goes on. The two lock blades, then break apart and stand a short distance away from each other.

Cruger: You're still only second best, Icthior.

Icthior: Why, you-!!

• He charges again, and the two clash swords. Icthior tries spraying Doggie with water from his mouth again, but this time Doggie dodges. Doggie then knocks the Ocean Saber out of Icthior's hands, then sends him flying backward into a stack of boxes as explosions go off.

Rangers: Let's get 'em!

• Sam tries to connect another punch on Broodwing, but is knocked back by another blast of lightning. Bridge and Sky double-team him with their lasers, followed by a double attack from Z and Syd, but he deflects all of their laser fire. Jack then retaliates with a more powerful blast.

Jack: Deflect this.

• Broodwing yells in pain as an explosion goes off on the front of his body. The stolen badges fly out of his hands, and are caught by their respective Rangers (except for Doggie's which is caught by Jack).

Rangers: All right!

Jack: Thanks, I'll take these back.

Cruger: Now to finish this.

Icthior: You promised never to strike out in anger!

Cruger: This isn't anger. (poses) It's justice.

• He delivers a powerful downward stroke with his sword, which slices right through Icthior, making him fall over, yelling. He flies backward, landing hard. Doggie holds out his morpher.

Cruger: You use the memory of my wife against me?! You don't deserve to even speak her name!

Icthior: Her memory? Is that what they told you, that Isinia is gone?

Cruger: She perished in the battle of Sirius!

Icthior: You're a bigger fool than I thought. Isinia is alive! (cackles)

Cruger: Impossible. (he growls) Confinement Mode!

• He presses a button on his morpher, and a card falls to the ground, with Icthior trapped inside of it.

Icthior: No, let me go, please! Doggie!

Cruger: (picks it up) You got what you deserved. (he then runs to join the others)

Broodwing: You can't beat me!

Cruger: We have Icthior.

Jack: Good work, Commander.

Cruger: Thanks. You're next, Broodwing!

Broodwing: Ha. Don't make me laugh. I always have a plan B. Robot, activate!

• A robot that looks similar to Morato, the drawer robot in Samurai, emerges from the ground behind him. Broodwing hops/flies into the cockpit, cackling.

Cruger: No! (the Rangers' communicators beep) Kat?

Kat: (at the base) Delta Command Crawler is on the way.

• A shot of the Delta Command Crawler headed towards the scene of the attack is shown.

Cruger: Come on!

• All seven Rangers hop inside the cockpit. The stock footage of the inside and outside of the Base transforming is then shown. Delta Command Megazord, stand up. Delta Command Megazord, stand up. All the Rangers, including Sam, are shown inside the cockpit.

Cruger: Ready!

Rangers: Right!

Broodwing: Let's make this quick. Fire!

• His robot opens its hands and fires, making the Megazord stumble.

Cruger: Photon beams!

• The Megazord fires its knee lasers.

Jack: Finger lasers! (said lasers fire)

Broodwing: Full power!

Cruger: Full power!

• Broodwing's robot fires from all of its own panels, while the Megazord charges and fires its MASSIVE YELLOW LASER OF DOOM. The two robots' blasts push back and forth against each other.

Cruger: Hang on, Rangers.

• The other 6 Rangers grunt and strain.

Sam: Hold on…

• The two robots continue to struggle. Finally, the Yellow Laser of Doom wins out; inside his robot's cockpit, Broodwing yells at it sparks and pops. It explodes, and Broodwing flies away, yelling with dismay. The Megazord salutes.

Rangers: (give the thumbs-down) Enemy down.

Jack: But he got away. This isn't over, Broodwing.

• He swipes at the screen before we scene change to the Terror. Morgana is leading in the Krybots carrying the containers of plasma. Gruumm cackles.

Gruumm: Well done, Morgana. This will be the final component in the completion of the Magnificence.

Morgana: Yeah yeah, whatever. Now, what about… my reward? We had a deal.

Gruumm: So we did.

Morgana: Yes!

Gruumm: I grant your wish.

• He raises his staff at her, which glows red and encases her body with vines- and when they peel away, Mora emerges.

Gruumm: Happy, Mora?

• Mora squeals with delight, claps her hands, and begins to spin in place and dance.

Mora: I'm young again!

• And fade to commercial.

• Fade back in on Delta Command.

Kat: While we were dealing with Broodwing, Newtech Laboratory was raided. Several cases of Hemotech were stolen.

Syd: Hemotech? Any clue what it's used for?

Kat: It's an experimental life fuel- and whoever wanted it took it all.

Icthior: (inside Doggie's head) You're a bigger fool than I thought. Isinia is alive.

Cruger: Could it be? (sighs)

• Scene change to the Terror, where Mora is holding Cindy Sunshine, spinning and dancing still.

Mora: I'm young again, I'm young again, lalalala la la la la…

• She then gasps and stops in front of the door she tried to enter before as Morgana. She glances over her shoulder, then trots up to it. She gasps and looks around again, before touching her hand to the door. It opens, and she steps inside, holding her hand over her face, surprised by the bright light. Her eyes then widen, and her jaw drops, but the episode ends before we can see what she's found.

• Continuity error: When Ichtior attacks Sky at the beginning, the shot in front of Sky shows his shield forming. However, when the shot switches to behind him, the shield is no longer there and forms in front of him again.
• Continuity error: Sam disappears as soon as Shadow and Icthior begin fighting. Perhaps he changed to light ball form and floated away, but this was never shown happening.
• Continuity error: Right after Icthior steals Doggie's badge, the brief shot of Doggie on the ground shows him with the badge still attached to his uniform.
• Continuity error: When Icthior steals Sky, Bridge and Syd's badges, he takes the shield-shaped ones- but later on, it is the rectangular badges that are missing from their Ranger suits, and which are returned to them. This was because in Dekaranger, of course, he did steal the rectangular badges, as the shields were simply patches on the Rangers' uniforms.
• Oddity: The Rangers have taken much worse blows than what they suffer in this episode before, so why all of a sudden do a few sword strokes put them in the infirmary? Also, if they were so severely injured, why are they able to get up, walk out and run into battle like it's nothing? (Granted, Dekaranger wasn't much better and did the exact same thing, but it still does not make much sense…)
• In this episode's Dekaranger counterpart, “Mortal Campaign”, Icthior/Bisques went to the additional step of uploading proof of his badge thefts onto the Internet, to try and demoralize the Space Police and make them out to be no real threat to criminals. He also attacked the Dekaranger out of envy toward Doggie, but for a different reason- Bisques' father had chosen Doggie over him to learn his secret sword technique, because Bisques was much too immature and unpolished as a fighter to handle it.
• When Sky, Bridge, Syd and Doggie are laid up in the infirmary, all of them have get-well cards on their bedstands. Syd also has flowers (pink, of course) and a box of candy on hers, Sky has a jar of something (maybe cookies or candy) and an apple on his, Bridge has a package of something wrapped up in plastic on his, and Doggie has a green clock, an apple, and an orange. Syd has one of her heart-shaped pillows in addition to Peanuts on her bed.
• This episode marks the return of Mora, who will stick around until the end of the series.
• This is the first episode in which Tandi Wright is actually credited for playing Isinia- she also provided her voice in Shadow pts. I & II and Dismissed, but for unknown reasons her name is not in the credits for those episodes.
• Chronologically, the episode Wormhole best fits during this one, after the Rangers' debriefing but before Mora's encounter with Omni. This is still not a perfect fit, but is the best theory.
