Kira Ford

Kira is a singer and guitarist. She loves performing, so much that she will even break the rules to sing at school. She dreams of getting a record contract and becoming a professional singer, but wants to stay herself while doing it. She can be sarcastic, but cares about her friends and tries to help them out. She doesn't care much about typical girly activites such as shopping, prefering to concentrate on her music.

At first, she refuses to accept her new powers, giving her Dino Gem to Ethan. But she soon changes her mind, and becomes an important member of the team.

• Yellow Dino Gem - Kira's Dino Gem gives her the Ptera Scream. It is worn on a silver bracelet, which can turn into a morpher.
  

• Yellow Dino Morpher - This allows Kira to morph and become the Yellow Dino Ranger.
  

• Thundermax Saber - The Thundermax saber is her main weapon. It can also be used in laser mode.
  

• Ptera Grips - Kira's unique weapon. It can be combined with the other Rangers' weapons to create the Z-Rex Blaster.
  

• Yellow Raptor Rider - Kira's Raptor Rider.
  

• Yellow Raptor Cycle - Kira's Raptor Cycle.
  

• Super Dino Mode - Kira can access Super Dino Mode, which gives her increased strength and power, and the abillity to fly.
  

• Pterazord - Kira's zord as the Yellow Dino Ranger.
  

Kira has a friendly relationship with Conner and Ethan, although they often tease each other. When she first saw Trent, her reaction was 'wow', and when he turned evil she was the first one she told. She was also the first to forgive him, and even while evil he hesitated to attack her. However, by the end of the series, they seemed just friends. She is also friends with Tommy Oliver, helping him organise his old papers.

One of her old friends is Kylee Styles, now a famous singer. They used to play in a band together; when they meet again, Kira is angry to hear Kylee dismiss it. But she and Kylee sing together again, and share a hug at the end. Although she isn't friendly with Cassidy, she helps Cassidy out by getting her a job as a reporter. She is also friendly with Devin when they have an internship together.

Kira lives with her mother, who worries when her daughter comes home late. Her father is not mentioned.

She works at a television station, though doing what is never mentioned.

After she leaves school, she moves to New York. In twenty years, she will have become a famous and successful singer. But she struggles along the way, having to sing cat litter jingles while she tries to get a recording contract.

She thinks Justin Timberlake is cute.

She is left-handed.
