Monsters and Footsoldiers

Footsoldiers

Hidiacs

Hidiacs about to attack the unpowered Rangers Hidiacs are the main forces in the army of the Underworld. Morticon took dozens with him into battle against the ancient wizards, and at any given time, several hundred can be seen inside the pit that serves as the Morlock base of operations. These standard footsoldiers use modified Lochaber axes as weapons, and seem to have the ability to jump at least ten feet into the air.

Styxoids

A group of Styxoids preparing to take on Nick Voiced by - Nick Kemplen
Styxoids serve as higher class footsoldiers, used in battle as replacements for the lower-level Hidiacs, or to lead said Hidiacs into battle. They use serrated pikes capable of firing energy blasts as weapons, and are generally skilled at ambush attacks.

Monsters

Ogre

The first ogre firing at a morphed Udonna Appeared in episode - 14-01, 14-06
The large ogres seem to be an all-purpose monster useful when a particularly-powered one isn't needed by the enemy forces. Twice, these creatures have been used. They are several feet taller than normal humans, and immensely larger. In addition to their massive strength, they can fire lasers from their eyes for easy projectiles. However, they're extremely weak to cold, and thus Udonna was able to defeat the first ogre by freezing it solid.

The second ogre was given the Rangers' Megazord power, stolen in a previous fight by Koragg. With that new ability handy, it was able to grow to giant size, and could fire a rock-based version of the Rangers' Titan Saber main attack called “Boulder Blast”. This ogre was unable to stand against the power that serves as Udonna's polar opposite, fire, and quickly fell to the combination Megazord formed by Nick and Catastros.

Mucor

Mucor picking his teeth after a nice Ranger snack Appeared in episode - 14-03
Voiced by - John Calley
Mucor was the first unique monster of the underworld sent by Morticon against the Rangers, initially serving as a distraction simply to keep them from messing with Morticon's true plan, involving the Hydra Worm. Mucor was enlarged by Koragg to giant size at the start of the battle, and quickly made use of his large appetite to swallow three of the Rangers whole, with the help of Necrolai. He also had the ability to fire green spores from the miniature mouth on his right hand that exploded on contact, but neither of these abilities kept him from falling to the combined efforts of the Mystic Titans for long.

Hydra Worm

The Hydra Worm, fully visible after breaking to the surface Appeared in episode - 14-03
This large, multi-segmented serpent was used in times past to dig the pit that serves as the villains' headquarters, and was brought back by Morticon to attempt to break to the surface and devour Briarwood. The worm had eight necks with which to attack the Rangers with, and could efficiently retreat underground and burrow at high speed to both avoid enemies and to attack them. The mouths on each head were capable of chomping down opponents quickly, as well as firing powerful energy blasts. Like the Lernaean Hydra the monster was based on, however, fire attacks singed its necks badly enough to disconnect them, and the concentrated fireball finisher of the Mystic Titans Dragon Formation was more than enough to down the creature for good.

Clawbster

Clawbster taunting the Mystic Titans Appeared in episode - 14-04
Voiced by - Bruce Hopkins
This part cockatrice, part lobster was originally placed into action by Necrolai, attempting to down the citizens of Briarwood one at a time by turning them into stone. He also had energy bolts available to fire from his wings, and his tough, scaly skin was capable of taking direct hits from Nick's Magi Staff without yielding. However, it fell easily to Nick's rendition of the Medusa trick of having the creature stone itself via a mirror. After being brought back to life by Koragg, it's thick skin ended up being quite a bit less useful at blocking the various attacks from the Titan Saber.

Taxi Cab Monster

Unmorphed Nick and Vida fighting the Taxi Cab Monster in a parking lot Appeared in episode - 14-07
Voiced by - Derek Judge
This metamorphosing beast could take the appearance of both a normal monster and a fully functional taxi cab. Initially used by Necrolai to steal the map to the Fire Heart by a professor who had mistakenly entered the devious taxi, this monster later gave the Rangers' a tough fight. Even on the Mystic Speeder, Nick wasn't able to take the beast down, or even scratch its paint. The monster then gave Nick a wild ride in Mystic Titan form. It took two finishers from the Titans to take it out; Vida's ball finisher to turn it back into its monster form, and the Mystic Spell Seal to finish it for good.

Flytrap

Flytrap turning a nightclub full of teens into vampires Appeared in episode - 14-08
Voiced by - Ross Girven
Flytrap was a monster that visually fit its name, with a large snapping head and tentacles capable of zipping from its hands. Flytrap hardly ever used its mouth as a trap, however; it more commonly used its tentacles, whipping them at enemies and wrapping them up. These tentacles also had suckers at the end, capable of turning any human it latched onto into a vampire. Vida's ability to transform into random things freed her from its tentacle knots however, and a solid attack from Titan Megazord easily took care of this monster.

Unnamed Monster

Monster roaring at Vida and Xander Appeared in episode - 14-10
This large-headed spiky monster was behind the second door in the secret chamber on Mount Fuego, and was awakened when Xander got too curious after he and Vida found the Fire Heart chest. The monster was strong enough to knock Xander for a loop, but Vida's tornado power very quickly destroyed the monster, in less than 45 seconds in fact.

Skullington

Skullington firing his Bone Attack Appeared in episode - 14-10
Voiced by - Campbell Cooley
Brought in by Koragg after Necrolai asked for help in redeeming herself before Morticon wiped the floor with her, this monster was tasked to retrieve the Fire Heart found by the Rangers before they could solve the puzzle of the chest. Skullington came equipped with a nasty spiked staff capable of inflicting damage in a hurry, and his strength allowed him to toss Xander several feet in any direction easily. Even worse, upon his initial destruction, a tiny red skull embedded inside his head could power up and draw his inanimate parts back together, giving him second wind. His fierce Bone Attack could shoot a barrage of sharpened bones at an enemy for massive damage. It took the enhanced power of the Mystic Force Fighters to knock this creature down for the count.

Gargoyle

Gargoyle about to jump off the gates Appeared in episode - 14-12
Upon the rising of the gates blocking the Underworld from entrance, this gargoyle came to life and attacked the Rangers. It's claw-shaped trident made for powerful attacks, and it had a nasty ability to warp around the battlefield, easily dodging attacks by the Rangers. Combination attacks between this monster and Morticon gave the Rangers a brutal fight. In order to destroy it, the Rangers had to go to Dragon Formation and shoot a triple fireball finisher at it; an attack that was too fast for the creature to dodge, allowing them to focus their attention on defeating Morticon instead of fighting on two fronts.

Behemoth

Behemoth appearing in the Underworld Appeared in episode - 14-15
Voiced by - Patrick Kane
Imperious summoned this monster for a specific task; he was to use his seismic stakes to draw out and destroy the Solaris Knight. The drawing out was succesful, but Koragg appeared and fought Daggeron before Behemoth could complete his orders. He got another chance later, however, but wasn't able to do much of anything. Before he could cause more earthquakes, the Rangers reappeared from their training journey, and Xander defeated him with his Mystic Muscles upgrade. After being reincarnated and enlarged by Imperious's power, he got off one electric blast attack before the Solar Streak Megazord took him out.

Spydex

Chip fighting Spydex on his web Appeared in episode - 14-16
Voiced by - Millen Baird
As a spider with a large carapace, Spydex was fairly strong against attacks, and its quick spinning webs enabled it to drop in and out of areas very fast. Its ability to store souls captured by Gnatu in its shell made the two monsters the perfect team. It was even able to spin a giant web between buildings, and on its own playing ground, it was a fierce opponent, at least until Chip pulled out the Mystic Force Fighters and hit it with a descending attack that took it out. After being reincarnated, the Rangers took it out fairly quickly again with a combination group speed spell and jumping finisher from Chip.

Gnatu

Gnatu getting ready to fire the soul cannon Appeared in episode - 14-16
Voiced by - Callie Blood
Gnatu appeared on the surface in the middle of a park with Spydex, and the two monsters immediately got to work. Gnatu's ability to suck the life force out of any human she touched went well with Spydex's storage powers, and the two quickly downed many citizens before the Rangers were able to stop them. They worked so well together that Imperious offered to give Gnatu a second in command position in the Underworld forces, much to Necrolai's disgust. Gnatu and Spydex's intent was to fire the collected souls into the sky, creating an explosion that would kill off the rest of the city. Thankfully, the Rangers were succesful at stopping them before they could do this, using Titan Megazord's flying attack to dispose of the monster before she could fly away.
