Xander, at first glance, seems to be the quintessential flirt. His smooth personality and Australian accent charm the ladies quite efficiently. This charm and his seemingly lazy personality don't entirely hide the way he can take charge and act like the natural born leader Toby claims him to be. His concern for his friends as well as his ability to admit when he makes mistakes serve the teen well in his role as the Green Mystic Ranger.
While a dependable friend, Xander does seem to chafe under orders he doesn't particular like, as well as feeling a bit of distrust towards newcomers to the team, perhaps due to their way of showing up and essentially becoming the focus of the group, a role Xander obviously held for some time before Nick's arrival. The combination of those two factors put both Nick and Daggeron in a shaky view in Xander's eyes, though he quickly got over it when he realized how trustworthy and dependable both men are.
His ability to get himself out of tense situations with a smile or fast thinking (or both) make Xander a good leader, though he doesn't often have a chance to use these skills in team situations.
Xander's favorite hobbies seem to consist of any of three things: seducing nearby girls, watching others work from a convenient and comfy chair he can relax in, and skateboarding. According to Madison's videography, skateboarding is probably his best skill, though its unknown how good or serious he is about it compared to, say, Shane Clarke.
With the power of the Green Mystic Ranger backing him, Xander has control over the Earth itself. Able to bend nature to his will, it becomes an easy matter to use sticks and trees as weapons. The minotaur is Xander's avatar.
Mystic Morpher - Xander and the other teens have adapted well to using their Mystic Morphers. This inconspicuous cell phone can be used to cast many different types of magic spells when its wand is extended. Most commonly used are the spells that require dialing numbers on the phone, such as the spells used to morph, transform into Zord form, and call on special vehicles. The morphers also act as a focus for various minor spells that don't require dialing.
Magi Staff - The Magi Staff is Xander's weapon, which is useful for fierce close-combat fights in default mode. Xander also has the ability to morph his Magi Stick into its Axe Mode, which gives him much more powerful blows as well as energy strikes that race across the ground.
Mystic Racer - Xander travels the land easily with his Mystic Racer, a broom that magically transforms into a streamlined jet cycle that can fly.
Mystic Force Fighters - Xander was the first Mystic Ranger to unlock the Mystic Force Fighters, a pair of punching gloves that greatly increase attack power for its user.
Mystic Muscles - Xander is also the only Ranger able to unlock the Mystic Muscles, a powerup he's used twice so far. This ability increases his torso muscle mass, allowing him to deliver extremely strong punches, and to lift all four of his teammates into the air seemingly with no effort.
Mystic Minotaur - In his titan mode, the Mystic Minotaur, Xander is a tough opponent to beat. He's almost twice the height of most of the other Mystic Titans, and can easily hold his own in battles. He has an axe as a weapon in this form, and has a powerful forehand swing, the easier to smash Bomb Mode Vida across the battlefield with. Xander forms the entire torso of the Mystic Dragon, as well as both the torso and the back half of the legs for the Titan Megazord.
Green Legend Warrior - As a result of learning to take responibility for their actions, the five teens were granted new abilities by
The Tribunal. Xander's powerful new form of the Green Legend Warrior gives him stylish chest armor, gauntlets, horned helmet extensions, and the Mystic Lion Staff as a weapon, in exchange for losing his signature cape. With the new outfit, more powerful attacks can be shrugged off, and Xander is capable of crushing his opponents with the torrent-like Rock Slide attack. In addition, he can perform combo attacks such as the United Formation and Mystic Force Fury.
Mystic Lion - Dialing Code 4 on the Mystic Lion Staff allows Chip, Madison, Vida, and Xander to transform into their new combo zord form, the Mystic Lion. This powerful beast has sharp claws capable of tearing huge chunks out of enemies, and a very impressive leaping distance. The Mystic Lion can join with the Mystic Firebird to form the Manticore Megazord.

Xander’s age is listed in his profile at the Jetix website as 17. This was never confirmed in-show, but the conversation between Udonna and the Rangers in both
Broken Spell and
Code Busters make it clear that he’s still in high school, so the age is feasible.
Xander was noted in pre-season bios to be an amazing gymnast and a tidy freak. While he clearly was never a gymnast in-show, he certainly was agile enough to enjoy skateboarding. Being a tidy freak was never confirmed or discarded either way, though his tendency to be lazy would seem at odds with such a personality trait.
