Background

Although she physically appears as a 10 year old child, Mora is a dangerous threat to the S.P.D. Power Rangers. Her appearance and her whiny behavior disguise Mora’s strategic skills, intelligence and special powers. She has the ability to bring to life any monster she draws in her notebook, sourcing Gruumm and his army with magical warriors. She considers herself an artist (Confronted). Gruumm also looks to Mora to devise new plans to defeat the Rangers, much to Mora’s annoyance. To Mora, the attack on Earth is an inconvenience that cuts into her playtime. She has a detached view of humans, calling them “ugly” (Confronted). She once created a monster with an ability to turn humans into dolls, just so she could add to her collection of toys, but quickly grew bored with them and wanted a doll of Z instead (Sam pt. I, pt. II). Her favorite toy is a doll named Cindy Sunshine.

Mora’s background and species is shrouded in mystery. Her young appearance was a gift from Gruumm in exchange for her skills. In the episode Wired pt. II, Gruumm grows tired of Mora's childish nature and repeated failures, and punishes her by changing her back into the adult form he originally found her in. When Mora is an adult she goes by the name Morgana; this may or may not be her real name or her ‘true’ form. She is changed back to her preferred child form in Badge. Mora shows remarkable disrespect for the Emperor of the Troobian Empire. She is rude and likes to openly mock Gruumm. They have an unusual and rather twisted ‘father-daughter’ relationship that is as entertaining as it is disturbing. Mora also has an open hatred for the arms dealer, Broodwing (Confronted).

In Insomnia, Mora is possessed by Ommi, the mysterious master of Gruumm. In the next episode, she is seen to have lost her desire to play, even carelessly tossing Cindy Sunshine into the core of the Terror. She tries to face off against Commander Cruger when he and the Rangers escape captivity, sending monster after monster at him from her notebook, until it runs out of pages. Cruger then easily confines her (Resurrection, Endings pt. II).

Hobbies

Aside from creating monsters and annoying Gruumm and Broodwing, Mora loves to play. She contacted and manipulated Sam for the express purpose of getting people turned into new toys for her, and she is often seen having imaginary tea parties with Cindy Sunshine and others- she is known to have a stuffed bunny and a stuffed dog, and in Sam pt. II she was seen to have a toy chest as well. She also delights in punishing the monsters who fail Gruumm.

Abilities

Mora displayed two powers during the series:

Monster Creation:

Mora has the ability to animate any drawing she creates. She uses a notepad and pencil.

Doll Animation:

Mora also demonstrated the ability to use her doll Cindy Sunshine to communicate with the street child Sam. She was able to move the doll’s head and speak through it. She also made it disappear and reappear at will (Sam pt. I and pt. II).
