Background

Nothing is known of Philips beyond his relationship to Mr. Collins and Wesley Collins. He appears to have been the family butler for quite some time, and also occasionally fills the role of chauffer. Judging by his accent, he is originally English.

Philips is professionally deferential to Mr. Collins, but his attitude towards Wes is both more familiar and warmer. He chides Wes to behave himself ('Force From the Future') and later advises him to find his own way in life ('A Parting of Ways').
